Patterson Mill Opens Playoffs with 10-0 Win
Connor Neumann recorded his first hat trick of the season and Pat Kiley added 2 more goals as the Huskies defeated Joppatown 10-0 in their opening round playoff game.  Colin Carroll, Phil McDonald, Joey Matassa, Chris Jones and Caleb Hebb each added a goal while Carroll, McDonald, Matassa, Pat Springer, Tommy O'Neill, Danny McKee and Will Pappas each contributed 1 assist.  Goal Keepers Ian Dowding and Adam Walker both played in goal to earn the shutout win.

Huskies Defeat C Milton Wright 2-0
With goals coming from Phil McDonald and Connor Neumann, the Patterson Mill Huskies beat the Mustangs from C Milton 2-0. Ian Dowding made 10 saves to earn his 8th shutout on the season.  The Huskies record now stands at 10-2-2

Patterson Mill Earns 9th Win vs Edgewood
Freshman Larsen Green scored 2 goals while Connor Neumann, Pat Springer, Joey Matassa, Phl McDonald and Chris Jones each added 1.  Assists were earned by Jake Ross, Patrick Kiley, and Colin Carroll (each with 2) while Adam Walker earned the shutout win in goal, making 4 saves.

Huskies Knock Off Aberdeen 2-0
Connor Neumann and Jake Ross each scored a goal while Neumann and Laz Cardwell notched assists in a  2-0 victory over Aberdeen.  Ian Dowding earned his 7th shutout of the season in goal - making 6 saves on the night. The Huskie's record now stands at 8-2-2.

The senior goalkeeper recorded a couple of shutouts last week to bring his season total to five. Dowding, who has allowed only five goals in nine games, made 12 saves to shut out Fallston in a 0-0 double-overtime tie, marking the first time in school history that the Huskies have not lost to the Cougars. He also had 14 saves in Patterson Mill's 2-0 victory over No. 12 Perry Hall. Dowding made 42 saves in his last three games and 70 overall this season as the Huskies improved to 6-1-2. A club soccer player for the Northern Elite Soccer Club, Dowding also plays tennis for the Huskies and has a 3.54 GPA.

Patterson Mill Defeats #12 ranked Perry Hall 2-0
Led by Ian Dowdings 12 saves, the Patterson Mill Huskies shutout Perry Hall High School by the score of 2-0. Juniors Logan Hennlein and Laz Cardwell each scored a goal while Connor Neumann assisted on both. This win marks the first victory over a ranked opponent since the program began.

 

Huskies Tie both Fallston and North Harford
On Sept. 20th, the Patterson Mill Huskies tied an undefeated North Harford team by the score of 1-1. Phil McDonald scored the fastest goal in team history  just 35 seconds into the game off an assist by Colin Carroll.  The Hawks scored in the first half to tie the score at 1-1, before Ian Dowding (16 saves) and the Husky defense shut them down.  After two scoreless overtimes, the scored remained 1-1.

The Huskies also tied last years 2A state runner up Fallston Cougars 0-0.  Ian Dowding made 12 saves and the entire Husky team played a great game as the boys recorded their first tie vs Fallston on school history (the teams were previously 0-5 vs FHS).

Patterson Mill Boys Pick Up 2 Wins
The Huskies defeated both Franklin High School and Towson High by the scores of 2-1 and 1-0.  In the Franklin game, goals were scored by Phil McDonald and Jake Ross - with Laz Cardwell and Joey Matassa earning the assists.  The game winner coming in the first overtime.  Versus Towson, Colin Carroll provided the only goal of the game off a free kick 10 minutes into the first half.  The defense and keeper Ian Dowding (10 saves on the day) made that goal stand as the Huskies went on to win 1-0.

Patterson Mill took a 2-0 lead vs John Carroll but allowed 3 unanswered goals to lose their home opener 3-2. Logan Hennlein opened the scoring off an assist from Phil McDonald. Brandon Ortiz then converted on a penalty kick after Alex Littlepage was taken down in the box.  However, John Carroll would go on to score 3 straight and despite out shooting the Patriots, the Huskies would lose 3-2.  Goalie Ian Dowding made 6 saves in goal on the night.

 

 

Huskies Win the Minuteman Soccer Classic
Open the season 2-0

On Saturday, The Patterson Mill boys soccer team won the Minutemen Soccer Classic at Patapsco High School by defeating Western Tech High School 7-0 and Chesapeake High School 3-0 in the finals. Senior Phil McDonald and junior Tommy O’Neill lead the Huskies with 2 goals and 2 assists each on the day, while Laz Cardwell had 2 goals and Colin Carroll, Colin Leary, Patrick Kiley, and Logan Hennlein each added a goal. Jake Ross tallied 2 assists on the day, while Brandon Ortiz, Joey Ricks, Colin Carroll and Joey Matassa each recorded 1 assist. Goalies Ian Dowding and Adam Walker both worked in goal to help keep the opposing teams scoreless on the day.
